Explore My Sewing Creations, 6069, and more!

Finally finished my first dress from a pattern. New Look 6069. A great shape. Had to alter the back bodice quite a bit, but I'm happy with this first effort.

Bandana skirt dresses I made for my nieces using the skirt from this tutorial, and attaching it to a t shirt to make a dress instead of just adding a waistband. I also appliqued hearts instead of circles. Don't they look adorable! http://alphamom.com/family-fun/holidays/talk-like-a-pirate-day-crafts/

I also like the thought of one of the aforementioned bandanna skirts with a ruffled petticoat under it, a similar concept to this one, but cuter...

Rockin my new game day dress that I whipped up this morning. Cut off the sleeves and re-attached as cap sleeves, cut two shirts and sewed together with an A-line skirt, took in the sides for a more feminine fit, and done!

Joann Fabric: Toddler Bandanna Dress. Lost this pattern, glad to find a blog with the necessary info! Madison will love it!

T shirt dress made with some vintage fabric from my Grandma. I want to make a matching sash, but the blue belt will do for now.

Jersey Chevron Dress from the onelittleminuteblog.com tutorial. I made mine w a belt rather than elastic gathering bc I thought it would be more flattering on me. The color is a bit more pink than the red I wanted, but it came out nice and fits well. I got a white tennis skirt to wear underneath bc it would be quite see-through otherwise. Fabric was from girlcharlee.com, but I see it is no longer available.
