We all crowed into the dark, dusty room. I had to wait a few minutes until my eyes adjusted to look around. No matter how different the building were, they all had one similarity, darkness. I guess they had to be dark though. The light stung.
i looked up at her seriously, preparing for a scolding or a long rant on behavior that only elderly people have the ability to give. Instead, she said nothing, only looked at me with a smile playing at her lips and a twinkling softness in her eyes.
Similar to the street lights, it's fascinating how this gas station's lights and sign illuminates in the dark, its an interesting color and in some ways compliments the moody, dull night sky. Also the way it's projected on the street is cool.
