The Titania - Heading to Port Moody, a small town in Burrard Inlet had been selected as the western terminus for the railroad. Port Moody instantly boomed. Lumber was in demand as millions of railway ties, bridges, and trestles. The fast Titania was a good candidate for bringing merchandise and supplies. They needed to be transported in a hurry. On January 11th 1886, Captain Dunn sailed the Titania from Liverpool with the pilings for the western terminus of the C.P.R.
