Maphuta Lamula completed the Bake for Profit course at our GetOn Skills Development Centre earlier this year. She couldn’t wait to return to GetOn with her good news: her company is registered, and she is officially the owner of a Cleaning and Catering company. One of her biggest contracts is cleaning the Presidential Guest House. Maphuta has even employed a fellow student and is creating more employment opportunities as her business grows. What a great success! Maphuta we are proud of you!

Sthembiso was an unemployed mother of a baby girl when she registered at GetOn Skills Development Centre. She was raised by her father and stepmother and life was hard. Although she pushed herself, she could not go further with her studies after matric, as she fell pregnant. Taking the opportunity, she completed the cashier course at GetOn and shortly after she finished the course she was placed at Mr Price. She is now working as a casual worker and she has a vision and a plan for her life.
