Ajanta & Ellora Caves: Cave Hindu temples of India. In the Indian state of Maharashtra is the village of Ajanta & Ellora with incredible Temples carved into the mountain Charanandri by ancient Indian architects & engineers. Ellora – the official World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The caves consist of 27 Hindu temples built during the 100BC – a sign of Hindu religious harmony that has prevailed in India.
Ahilya fort, Maheshwar city, Madhya Pradesh, India. The City lies on the north bank of the Narmada River. In the late eighteenth century, Maheshwar served as the capital of the great Maratha queen Rajmata Ahilya Devi Holkar,Holkar. She embellished the city with many buildings and public works, and it is home to her palace, as well as numerous temples, a fort, and riverfront ghats (broad stone steps which step down to the river).
Hampi, India, was home to one of the largest Empires of the World: Vijaynagara Empire. The Hindu temples have resisted the Islamic Invasion although many were destroyed by the invasion. In the year 1325 Muhammad-bin-Tughluq led several attacks towards south India, particularly Hampi. The Vijaynagara Hindu Empire was created to protect India from the Invasions.
