Better-Than-Takeout Chicken Fried Rice: I don't know what sort of magic sauce they use at hibachi places, but I've yet to find a fried rice recipe that tastes as good as or better than what I've gotten at restaurants. I would recommend using butter or olive oil rather than Sesame Oil, and only half the called for amount of soy sauce. Replace the other half with teriyaki sauce. Cook your chicken with teriyaki as well, and this dish is amazing! I use bell pepper instead of peas and carrots.

I changed the recipe up a little to use veggies from our garden and it came out great and quick to make. I added Yellow Squash, fresh carrots, and a 1/2 sweet Pepper. I also used low salt Soy sauce.

Well, gluten free soy sauce is gluten free. It's called tamari, but it's different than regular soy sauce.

Better-than-takeout Chicken Fried Rice.

BETTER-THAN-TAKEOUT CHICKEN FRIED RICE - 1/16/14. Really, really good! Made the slow cooker teriyaki chicken mentioned in the recipe to go with it. Good choice. Slightly increased the recipe (4 cups of rice, 3 eggs, whole bag of frozen peas and carrots) for our family of 5 and there were still leftovers. Will definitely make again and really looking forward to the leftovers!
