    June 10, 1922 Judy Garland born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Garland signed a movie contract with MGM at the age of 13. In 1939, she scored one of her greatest on-screen successes with The Wizard of Oz. In 1950, MGM dropped her from her contract. In the 1960s, Judy Garland spent more time as a singer than an actress. She died in 1969 of an accidental overdose.

The Wizard of Oz-My father could not believe that every year they put this on tv and every year I watched.

Wizard of Oz series. 13 books in all.

They REALLY need to turn Wicked into a movie. But I'll be wounded if they ruin it... Such a gamble.

THE WIZARD OF OZ - 1939 - Who doesn't love this movie? I'll never forget the anticipation of the yearly broadcast hosted by Danny Kaye when I was a kid - my heart would pound, my tummy would flutter & the creepy witch & those damn flying monkeys never failed to give me nightmares! But I LOVED every minute of it!!
