Great idea... Very elegant yet still warm and "homey"... To make a canopy: attach curtain rods to the ceiling and hang curtains from them! As an adult, I like openness and minimalism in the bedroom, but as a kid, I fantasized about having a lush canopy bed. This seems like a great, not-too-expensive way to create a dream bedroom for a little girl. or a big girl, like me.

This room is gorgeous sans furniture! Add the big comfy bed? Priceless! the large windows help to brighten the space-but I'm worried about the nighttime. Would it be too dark? I'd love to see two little chairs and a cute end table rather than the couch-but none-the-less this room is beautiful.

This is the quilt pattern I have for my room. Mine has hunter green and a floral fabric with cream instead of the White and grey.

Only in my dreams, sigh. All the white cat hair wouldn't show as much, but other than that, we could never pull this off around here...

I love the rounded plates above the bed. Nice for smaller spaces above a larger headboard.
