Mt Aso Volcano on Kyushu Island, JP, is one of the world's most active volcanoes & has one of the longest recorded lists w/about 160 historic eruptions since 553 AD. Fatalities occurred due to bomb impacts & volcanic gasses in 1979 & 1997
