The "LUNGOMARE DEGLI ARTISTI", as this promenade was named by the artists who designed and created it in the 1960s. ANTONIO FRANCHINI (See the Panel nr.15 under the name ASTRAEUS BEGETS THE WINDS). Born in Bologna (1923). Franchini went through several figurative phases to define his own artistic language. At the end of the Forties he got involved with the Concrete Art movement and the influences of spatial poetry. In the Sixties his work focused on surrealistic effects.
