I was raised by this saying. Never let anyone who can't even support their own family and lies about heir own life events to try and make themselves feel better about their own pathetic life tell you anything about yourself or your family. The food stamp/welfare attitude was probably passed on by your family which is why your attitude is "it's everyone else's problem. Every one that doesn't agree or do what I say is against me" mentality. It's the kids learning from you that will suffer.
Reminded me of this quote from Wheatley: "We must engage with each other, experiment to find what works for us, and support one another as the true inventors that we are". I think that it is important to remember that we are all coming from different places and keep in mind how we can be good company. As Wheatley also says, "we can't make this journey alone-we need good companions, patience, endurance, and courage".
Great saying if you understand it's meaning. FYI if you follow everything you've church tells you to do and never ask the question why, or verify what they say lines up with the Bible, then you are a dead fish. You're just flowing aimlessly every which way to being spiritually dead in Christ Jesus. God's people would seek only truth and would verify what they are taught lines up with the Bible instead of man made church laws.
