Friday Journals--kids write a note on Friday to their parents telling what they learned that week. The parents write a short response back to their child, and the child brings the notebook back Monday. Each parent response earns a sticker for the cover. Love it--a great way to practice letter writing, and to get parents involved. Helps the children ingrain what has been taught into their memory too.
Could put these emotions on sticks or magnet board and have students "check in" in the morning by putting their magnet by the emotion they feel. This is pure genius!!!!! Glue ribbon to back cover of notebook to use as a bookmark in journals. - Great idea to help the kids stay on the correct page in their journals! Why have I never thought of this before???
1. Write names of students who are absent on the calendar. 2. Gather their missing assignments and put them in the folder for their class period. 3. Students are responsible for checking the folder when they return to school.
My kids school needs this because many kids are victims without anyone doing anything about it, and when the child being bullied reacts they end up getting in trouble! Great Poster on What IS Bullying... Exclusion, Physical, Lies or Rumors, Threats, Verbal Abuse or Teasing... Generally a Combination of the Above
E-Arrangement - It is also the most space efficient one. When we first introduced notebook classes it seemed to be the easiest solution to simply keep the layout and adjust the power supply to the existing situation.
