Dagdelen produced her Desert Weave dining chairs in 2013, after spending two months learning from Navajo weavers in Taos, New Mexico. The chairs’ metal frames were manufactured by Alias in the 1970s, based on a 1920 Belotti Giandomenico design. Dagdelen refinished the frames and made new seats and backs using Churro wool, cotton warp and hemp.
