(great to remember for move-out or in) Place a dishwasher-safe cup filled with plain white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher. Using the hottest water available, run the dishwasher through a cycle. The vinegar will help to wash away the loose, greasy grime, sanitizes, and helps remove the musty odor. Next, sprinkle a cupful of baking soda around the bottom of the tub and run it through a short cycle. The baking soda will help freshen and removing stains.... good to do every 6 mths

My recipe for getting your carpets clean. 1 cup of distilled white vinegar, 2 gallons hot water, and 1/2 to 1 cup of Borax, diluted. This got our carpets SO clean and fresh! Never hiring a company to do it again! I even had red marker on my carpet that the "other guys" said would never come out; this got it out! I save some in a mason jar for emergency spot cleaning.

I have seen a lot of cleaners that use baking soda but this is the first time that I have used baking powder...don't ask me how the science works but MAN does it work! I have used this on everything from counter-tops, windows, mirrors and cleaning my stovetop BUT my absolute favorite use for this magic concoction is a replacement solution for our Bissell steam vac carpet cleaner!
