My favorite season windows. Once students have learned about the different seasons, this is a cute way for them to express their favorite one. This corresponds to the NYS Elementary Science Core Curriculum Standard 4: The Physical Setting (describe patterns of daily, monthly, and seasonal changes in their environment).

As much as I hate the hamburger essay, this would be a good way to help kids who don't exactly have an idea of how to write. The downside would be the strict format it inspires.
