Great way to create a transition and separation for the entryway - add a french door "storefront." Also gives a more traditional chic to even a modern built home. I am in LOVE with this idea!!!

Lovely stonework...This is such a beautiful entry way!!! This is will be in my next home :) #dreaming #again ;)

Love the window above the door as opposed to on the sides. Let's light in, no privacy issues.

Entryway baskets. Great for incoming mail, outgoing mail, things we need to return or give back, etc. Like that they are hung on the wall. And I love the mirror!

gravel up to a side door, board/batten walls, succulents, barn lighting, window style Love this!!

Lorenzo Castillo via La Dolce Vita- beautiful use of black, white and natural textures

(BrandonRugs.com) The light colored, visually elongated field design of the antique Persian #rug fits into this narrow entry hall without fighting the confines. (Imagine how a rounded medallion, or an all-over patterned field, or a dark colored background would all impart a claustrophobic feel and cramped look by comparison.) (BrandonRugs.com)

Had one just like this in a house we once lived in - I sure miss it!..... "love idea of entryway....then door into main foyer."
