I love this entry about creating writer's workshop anchor charts. She also talks about reading Click Clack Moo to talk about why we write. I need to do this lesson in the first few weeks of school!

Why Writers Write: Laminate, velcro, and have a laminated star that moves to which reason we have for that writing specific unit.
