DIY Ant Killer ingredients-1 cup sugar, 3 Tbsp boric acid, 3 cups warm water Mix the sugar and Boric Acid well. Add the warm water slowly, mixing all the while so it won't be too lumpy. Store in a jar. When ready to use, put cotton into the top of a jar lid to fill it, and then saturate the cotton to the top. Place where you want it; make several if you need it. Will keep for a long while.

Get Rid Of Ants!! -- This is a miracle recipe for getting rid of those pesty ants that come every spring and summer. Mix up the solution, pack cotton balls in a jar cover, and put the solution on and they will be gone (so annoying to have a trail of ants show up on a nice, clean counter. Tuck a tiny bottle cap with this near where they enter and they will disappear forever. I live in ant paradise and now, my house is ant free. YS)

All-natural ant repellent. Pour equal amounts of water and white vinegar into a spray bottle, and shake to mix. Then spritz the solution in water-resistant areas where ants are common, such as kitchen floors or the crevices in painted baseboards from which the pests often enter. You can also use the repellent outside, spraying patios, porches, and picnic tables before family and friends gather.

Hot water, borax, sugar stir well, soak cotton balls & place where u see the ants. It's got rid of all ants in our home, we even put some by the front doors. Just replace cotton once every 2 wks., if u place cotton balls around kitchen sink replace every other night incase the cotton balls get wet.

Borax ant bait. Borax is the most common ingredient in house ant control products, and get this: it's absolutely 100% natural. The best way (in my opinion) to use Borax is to mix 1 cup of warm water with 1/2 cup of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of Borax. Then soak the Borax mixture up with cotton balls and place those cotton balls near any trails the ants have established in your home. Feeding frenzy... tomorrow they'll be gone

Homemade Bug Spray 1 tsp. dishwashing soap (not detergent) 1 tsp. cooking oil (we used virgin olive) 1 qt. water Mix in a spray bottle. Spray on any soft-bodied insect that invades your house or garden: ants, earwigs, aphids, whiteflies, mealy bugs, etc.

Time to kill those Knats! (fruit flies)

Don't put the cone all the way into the vinegar...just make the hole small cause they can't figure out how to fly back out...I have done this before and it works great...you can use any glass just make sure you roll the cone so it fits in the top perfect

Homemade Ant Bait, Repellants & Sprays. LOTS of recipes using various things (vinegar, essential oils, borax & peanut butter, yeast, cucumber peels, spices, etc.)

can I mix vinegar and borax? I thought with cats that laying down borax might not be good whereas if I mixed it in a liquid it might stick to the house foundation and deter the ants.

Ants like sweets, I mix the borax with powdered sugar & water & put the mixture in glass jars with holes poked in the lids with an ice pick. Lay the jars on their sides so the ants can get in & carry the poison out, but animals can't get in to it. Works in the garden too & keeps borax from getting in to the soil. I've mixed borax with jelly or peanut butter too. I think vinegar is more of a repellant.

I've also put corn meal piles out where I've seen ants, it's supposed to kill the colony, seems to work, and is safe for pets.

FLOUR - any flour, could be cream of wheat or similar. Enough for them to eat/take to their nest. It expends in their digestive system and they die. This is proven with great results. No need to buy something you don't have at home already.

    good to know! thanks
