This conversion in the Irish village of Broughshane started out with something that was already truly an object of beauty: a crumbling old stone barn. With some clever manipulation, they turned the old barn into a light-filled, contemporary living space.
Photo by Will Layzell Photography Designed by Nash Baker Architects, the Bourne Lane house was inspired by Kent-style barns with its characteristic black timber siding and pitched roof structure. Wooden louvers help shade the interior from too much sunlight and add a layer of privacy.
