A 2-year-old who died in Italy in 1920 has been perfectly preserved to this day. Rosalia Lombardo, who died over 90 years ago from pneumonia, still just looks like she’s sleeping. She resides in a glass coffin in Capuchin Catacombs in Palermo, Italy. As one of the world’s best-preserved bodies, she has been a consistent source of frustrations for embalmers and taxidermists for decades.

Crown Prince Nikolai of Russia with his finance Princess Dagmar (later Empress Marie Feodorvna of Russia), shortly before his death. When he died, she married his younger brother, Alexander III. Their children included Czar Nicholas II who was murdered with his young family in 1918.

Audie Murphy, June 1924 - May 1971, was the most decorated American soldier of World War II. During twenty-seven months in action in the European Theatre he received the Medal of Honor, the U.S. military's highest award for valor, along with 32 additional U.S. and foreign awards (medals, ribbons, citations, badges) including five awards from France and one from Belgium. After the war he became a celebrated movie star for over two decades.
