The Heroine's Bookshelf: Life Lessons, from Jane Austen to Laura Ingalls Wilder by Erin Blakemore

Most interesting book I read this year. Because I am from Chicago area and my Grandmother grew up in Blue Island and talked all about this Fair I felt I was reconnecting with her in a sense. I LOVED Googling all the buildings, architects, maps, Chicago history, etc., etc. which enriched this book to no end!! I went back in time and enjoyed going there immensely!

Oh, how I wish Rowling had stuck to her guns and killed off Arthur Weasley instead of Sirius Black! Not because I dislike Weasley; but because I love Sirius so much...

thank you Reddit | Harry Potter life lessons. The essence of a good story and why spending time with a book is so important to our psyche and life choices.
