Ana de Mendoza, Princess of Éboli (1540-1592). She lost an eye in a mock fencing duel when she was 14, and she spent her last 13 years in prison after (allegedly) revealing state secrets... Badass princess.
Sandro Boticelli - "The Three Graces", one of the finest Renaissance painters, sculptors, and one who was influenced by Fra Savanarola, one wonders how many of the Boticelli masterpieces went into the Bonfire of the Vanities. I have seen this painting in the Uffizi Gallery, Florence.
Lady Helen Vincent by John Singer Sargent, 1904. Helen Vincent, Viscountess d'Abernon, was celebrated English beauty and socialite. During World War I, Helen worked as a nurse despite her elevated station. Sargent painted her while she was staying in Venice.
