    Wedding dress, 1884 Canada, McCord Museum This was made for $4.00 by an Ontario dressmaker.  I can’t find what that would be in modern Canadian dollars, but given the similar value of Canadian and American dollars throughout history, I’ll assume it was something like $90 (95 USD).  Not that much, really.
