Hood museum, Alma College: Archival photographs. The oldest structure on campus today, the Hood builidng was originally constructed in 1899-1900 as a museum. During World War I it was used as barracks for members of the Student Army Training Corps. Later it was used for instruction of biology and psychology and later for offices. The building was given as a memorial to Francis A. Hood of Saginaw, owner of a barrel manufacturing company, by his widow and son Frank.
