Catch of the Day: Plastic Surprise - Galveston Beach, TX To bring some attention to ocean pollution and just how disgusting it really is, Surfrider Foundation teamed up with Satchi & Satchi LA to create “Catch of the Day.” Simply and brilliantly, they collected actual trash from beaches around the U.S., packaged it like food, and left it on display at farmer’s markets
Guerilla campaign from @Surfrider Foundation USA. Trash was collected from various beaches in Northern America, packaged it to look like seafood and displayed it at local farmers’ markets. (2008)
"2050: Catch of the Day?"(looking at what gets washed up on the beach near here, it already is!!) on the Keep our Oceans clean. Photo courtesy of Sea Shepherds.
A “Catch of the Day” campaign by the Surfrider Foundation uses beach trash wrapped like supermarket fish items to educate people on the amount and kinds of pollution dumped into our seas.
Catch of the Day: Plastic Surprise; What Goes in the Ocean, Goes in You. Fish eat plastic (mistaking it for food). We eat fish.
Catch of the Day: Plastic Surprise. Please recycle! And throw your trash in the can, not on a beautiful beach. Litter harms everyone.
Catch of the Day: Plastic Surprise. We need to stop polluting the oceans. Please stop using plastic -bags, -forks, -knives, -cups, styrofoam containers and anything that is not biodegradable. #mywatergallery
The project is called "catch of the day" because it collects the trash which can be found on the beach: from condoms to aerosol cans, all the items were packed and sealed like a common freezer food item, and promptly left on display at farmer's markets. Saatchi & Saatchi LA and Surfrider Foundation worked together to raise the consciousness of people about sea pollution.

Word Vomit : Society's messages to women are sickening. Men are told to be confident in themselves. Women are told to be someone's idea of thin and pretty.
Inspiring work of art, both beautiful and raw. The link provides a few art therapy ideas. I hope this collage touches the hearts of others like it does for me. Ladies and men, don't be afraid of your own voice and love yourself.

Pin 13. I think this is a great example of art that can be viewed as political because it is focusing on one of the problems in society today which is the female body image and eating disorders. This piece us creative while still viewing a major issue on how society makes women feel they should look and very often tries to label and define them based of their appearance. History always shows women as having small waists and petite frames and society still hasn't let go of that image of beauty.

I love this sculpture; it’s a contemporary piece with material that was recycled. It doesn’t really look like a lion, but that makes it more interesting. The tire pieces used to create this image really add depth to the hair and mane, giving great texture. Overall it’s amazing and unique. In an effort to provide abused children with a safe way to reach out for help, a Spanish organization called the Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk Foundation, or ANAR for short, created an ad that displays a different message for adults and children at the same time.

Outdoor Advertising: Anar Foundation against child abuse. The utilization of lenticular printing technology was implemented for this #OutdoorAdvertising piece which allowed the messages to be seen only by the intended audience (children). More from J+B at http://www.jbnorthamerica.com/media/outdoor-of-home-billboard-advertising
Child Abuse Billboard Contains 'Secret Message' Not Visible to Adults. Using a technology known as lenticular printing, Grey Group designed an ad that contains a "secret message" that is only visible from the POV of children (~4'4").
This campaign explanation for Anar Foundation has gleaned a significant amount of hype on YouTube. Where it showcases their clever advertising that only children - who they are trying to communicate with - can see the marketing message. They're also using this ad as a charity fundraising device.
Amazing add that shows different messages to different audiences!! Show a call for help information to the children Anar Foundation against child abuse needs funds urgently
This is an incredible use of lenticular printing to display a different message to children than adults. [Anar Foundation against child abuse] - Ann Padley Marketing Consultant at Blue Door Consulting
A smart use of lenticular printing to display a different message for kids vs adults | Anar Foundation against child abuse needs funds urgently
Anar Foundation against child abuse is using technology to target abused children. Only the children can see the message telling them where to find help when they are accompanied by their abuser, while the adult abuser sees a completely different ad. This is AWESOME!
Lenticular printing, which shows different images at different vantage points, on a billboard in Spain for the Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk foundation, which combats child abuse, shows people under 4 feet 3 inches a message unseen by someone taller, like a grown-up who may be abusing them. While kids read "If somebody hurts you, phone us and we'll help you," along with ANAR's phone number, adults see: "Sometimes child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it."
Super cool! This ad has a secret anti abuse message that only kids.
