Paragliding – Soaring like an Eagle - Gazing at the sky, haven’t you often gone green with envy at the birds flying so high up there? The carefree feel with which they maneuver at their will and wish, through the raging breeze and no traffic signals is always fascinating to watch and you wish you could fly too! Don’t you? Well, how would you like to step out of dreamland and actually get into their shoes and cruise through the boundless sky rather than being a mere spectator?

I think that airport shuttle services are so helpful. I mean, just because you get in a car to drive to an airport, doesn't mean there will be a car at your destination. That's where shuttles come into play, and they can be really helpful.
It has been so long since I have been on an airplane, but I can remember how much I have always needed a shuttle when I get off. It is so hard to try to rent a car and find your hotel while in an unfamiliar city. Taking a shuttle really makes vacationing so much more simple.

Thunderbirds. TELL YOUR FRIENDS that we’d love to see them at our aviation themed restaurant, The Left Seat West, in Glendale, Arizona!! Check out our décor at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Left-Seat-West-Restaurant/192309664138462
The Thunderbirds are the air demonstration squadron of the United States Air Force (USAF), based at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada. They tour the United States and much of the world, performing aerobatic formation and solo flying in specially marked aircraft. The name is taken from the legendary creature that appears in the mythology of several indigenous North American cultures. They are the fastest flying (multiple jet) flight demonstration team in the world.

Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first humans on the Moon, the fifth manned mission of NASA's Apollo program. Neil Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface on July 21 at 02:56 UTC. Armstrong spent about two and a half hours outside the spacecraft, Buzz Aldrin slightly less. A third member of the mission, Michael Collins, piloted the command spacecraft alone in lunar orbit until Armstrong and Aldrin returned to it just under a day later for the trip back to Earth.
My dad was there! He met a lot of astronauts. I think the best though Was Charles Linburg!! This is the launch of Apollo 11, July 16 1969.

The Museum of Flight - On May 11, 1934, the Douglas DC-2 first took flight. Developed after TWA and the Douglas Aircraft Company decided to increase the fuselage length of the DC-1 passenger plane. The Museum's DC-2 is a former Pan American Airways aircraft and was flown by the Douglas Historical Foundation until McDonnell Douglas' 1997 merger with The Boeing Company. Pictured here is the aircraft in formation with a Boeing Model 40. Photo by Liz Matzelle.

Writing prompt? An F/A-18 Hornet was photographed just as it broke the sound barrier. When an airplane travels at a speed faster than sound, density waves of sound emitted by the plane cannot precede the plane, and so accumulate in a cone behind the plane. When this shock wave passes, a listener hears all at once the sound emitted over a longer period: a sonic boom. As a plane accelerates to just break the sound barrier, however, an unusual cloud might form. The origin of this cloud is still debated.
I have always been fascinated by these photos of jets during a sonic boom... they are amazing A Sonic Boom Credit: Ensign John Gay, USS Constellation, US Navy Explanation: Is this what a sonic boom looks like? When an airplane travels at a speed faster than sound, density waves of sound emitted by the plane cannot precede the plane, and so accumulate in a cone behind the plane. When this shock wave passes, a listener hears all at once the sound emitted over a longer period: a sonic boom. As a plane accelerates to just break the sound barrier, however, an unusual cloud might form. The origin of this cloud is still debated. A leading theory is that a drop in air pressure at the plane described by the Prandtl-Glauert Singularity occurs so that moist air condenses there to form water droplets. Above, an F/A-18 Hornet was photographed just as it broke the sound barrier. Large meteors and the space shuttle frequently produce audible sonic booms before they are slowed below sound speed by the Earth's atmosphere.
FA-18 Hornet from USS Constellation breaking sound barrier (7_July_1999) off the coast of Pusan, South Korea. The cloud is water vapor which condenses due to the pressure wave at the instant the aircraft crosses the sound barrier and is dependent on humidity levels in the air at the time.
