Use window treatment fabric to set a color scheme in your room. Draw from the fabric's main hues, then distribute those hues throughout the room with pieces of furniture and accessories. Editor's Tip: Try to incorporate similar colors through your furniture. For example, the yellow from the Roman shades appears on the dining chairs./

Minimal window coverings keep this breakfast nook bright and sunny. Soft yellow cushions, pillows, and painted chairs add to the room's happy feel. The L-shape design makes the most of this kitchen's nook and creates many extra places to sit./

Sunny Breakfast Nook--"A soft palette of crisp white and light yellow creates a calming vibe...wooden dining in a muted shade of the yellow...[and] subtle patterns splashed across bench cushions, throw pillows, as well as the window shades with a few solid-color pillows to break up the bank of pattern." #BreakFast #Nook #Kitchen #Home #IrvineHome ༺༺ 🏡 ❤ ℭƘ ༻༻

Yellow and white breakfast nook with plantation shutters. I'd warm it up by painting the walls gray. #BreakFast #Nook #Kitchen #Home #IrvineHome ༺༺ 🏡 ❤ ℭƘ ༻༻

Blue Breakfast --so light Blue Breakfast Fabrics set the mood for Sunday brunch or afternoon tea in this breakfast nook. The blue-and-white fabrics each have a personality of their own -- a large-scale gingham is casual and relaxed, while a French rooster-themed toile is elegant and refined. The blue-and-white color palette is a classic choice for a Country French room.

    Crazy Wonderful: bamboo roman shades

    Built-ins in the bedroom!

Not this color scheme but when I update the furniture in my breakfast nook I will be doing this bench/storage underneath idea. Solves the problem of people scratching the wall with the chair and we always need more storage space in Florida! (no basements here!) I also like the idea of the padding behind it but I would keep mine lower so it didn't mess with my art on the wall
