St patricks day dinner Irish Soda Bread Recipe

    • Melih Eccles

Irish Soda Bread: Traditionally, Irish soda bread was made from just flour, buttermilk, baking soda, and salt. Our recipe adds a bit of sugar, dried currants, golden raisins, and caraway seeds for flavor.

Fruit soda bread (with raisins & sometimes dried fruit e.g. Apricot) is delicious and is quite common in Ireland, although the texture is rougher / drier than the bread pictured above.
