Senator Elbert Thomas and his automobile, November 7, 1933. Thomas served as a U.S. senator from Utah from 1933 to 1951. Shipler took this photograph of him in front of his residence at 137 North West Temple for the Ford Motor Company. The Thomas residence still stands as a historic survivor surrounded by apartment buildings and parking lots.
