I love this idea! Ricca's Kindergarten: Class Promise {This would also work with my class' mission statement. The little faces really personalize it.

Create a card holder or photo system on your classroom wall that stores cards/photos with each student's name on them. When kids arrive in the morning, they place velcro names on the board. This way you can take attendance by simply seeing the one or two names that are not on the board.

Name Chart - I mount the photos on large tagboard. I laminate the board and the names. The names on the lines are then attached with velcro dots. The kids use it all of the time when they want to write their friend. {put in the writing center}
