Transform your kids' drawings into a stuffed animal keepsake! (Viral) -- This is adorable! Send your kids pictures into this company and they make it into a real keepsake! --- But now the woman (who is used to making 4 orders per week) has gone viral on Pinterest and going bonkers! How very cool is this!
This is pretty cool. Send in your child's drawing and they will make it into a real stuffed toy for them. I have a friend who did this through etsy too! If you find a seller whose work you like you can often ask them for an alchemy request. I think she may have gotten her stuffed animal a bit cheaper than this site did does them for

I love this idea. Have each teacher secretly sign "Oh, the Places You'll Go" from Pre-K to High School at the end of each year and give it to your child at graduation. Oh my!!! This is the best! I STILL love this book. My wonderful senior English teacher sat us down our last week and read this book to us! I'm pretty sure I've never felt more inspired and encouraged!
Secretly have every teacher (from Pre-k to senior year) sign this book, and give to your child as a surprise on their graduation. ♥ Love this idea!!

big bear, little kid in costume bear
This little kid is making new friends at the zoo. " Say Hi to my new polar bear friend mum "
Sister said, "People always say, "Awwww" when they see the bears or tigers looking at a kid or a baby through the glass at the zoo. I always wonder if they know that the animal just wants to eat the kid?"
Both sad and cute. I fear that the only polar bears we'll see in the next century are ones either in aquariums/zoos like this, or kids in cuddly costumes. Regardless, it is heartbreaking and adorable.

EVERYBODY SHOULD PIN THIS TO SAVE FOR WHEN THE TIME COMES :) The truth about Santa - this letter is inspiring. Don't want to forget this when the time comes!
Truths About Santa Letters, Things To Telling Daughters, Telling The Truths, Letters To Your Children, Christmas Magic, Christmas Eve, Beautiful Mom, Explained Santa, So Sweet
The truth about Santa Here’s what I wrote: Christmas magic Dear Lucy, Thank you for your letter. You asked a very good question: “Are you Santa?” I know you’ve wanted the answer to this question for a long time, and I’ve had to give it careful thought to know just what to say. The answer is no. I am not Santa. There is no one Santa. I am the person who fills your stockings with presents, though. I also choose and wrap the presents under the tree, the same way my mom did for me, and the same way her mom did for her. (And yes, Daddy helps, too.) I imagine you will someday do this for your children, and I know you will love seeing them run down the stairs on Christmas morning. You will love seeing them sit under the tree, their small faces lit with Christmas lights. This won’t make you Santa, though. Santa is bigger than any person, and his work has gone on longer than any of us have lived. What he does is simple, but it is powerful. He teaches children how to have belief in something they can’t see or touch. It’s a big job, and it’s an important one. Throughout your life, you will need this capacity to believe: in yourself, in your friends, in your talents and in your family. You’ll also need to believe in things you can’t measure or even hold in your hand. Here, I am talking about love, that great power that will light your life from the inside out, even during its darkest, coldest moments. Santa is a teacher, and I have been his student, and now you know the secret of how he gets down all those chimneys on Christmas Eve: he has help from all the people whose hearts he’s filled with joy. With full hearts, people like Daddy and me take our turns helping Santa do a job that would otherwise be impossible. So, no. I am not Santa. Santa is love and magic and hope and happiness. I’m on his team, and now you are, too. I love you and I always will. Mama

8 Birthday Traditions to start. So sweet and makes birthdays so special!

8 Birthday Traditions to start. So sweet and makes birthdays so special! 1. Rise and shine. I like to wake my kids up on their birthday not with, “Get up! It’s time for school!” but with an extra long snuggle and the condensed version of the day they were born. Who doesn’t like to hear their birth story?! Adopted and foster children can be told how they were meant to be brought into the family and how special they are. 2. Birthday letter. Every year, I type up a birthday letter for each of my children telling them what great things they did and said and learned during the past year. I give the birthday child a copy, then save a copy in a binder and on my computer for myself because we all know kids can’t keep track of stuff. The plan is to give each of my children a copy of all their letters when they move out, which means they’ll have somewhere between 18 and 30 letters to enjoy! 3. Birthday slideshow. With just a few clicks of your mouse, you can create a special slideshow using PowerPoint or a similar computer program. Just pop in photos, size them and add cute captions. You can even add some music if you like. After your child watches it about a zillion times, save it to a CD and pop it in a special place (safe deposit box, fireproof box, etc.) so your child will always have it. 4. Photos. I try to take as many pictures as I can on birthdays and even make sure I’m included in some of them, since I’m the mom and all! Later, we like to get out old photo albums and the birthday kid’s baby album. 5. Special meal. One of my kids loves the neighborhood restaurant where they sing Happy Birthday and are given a balloon to take home. Another is content heading to the local fast-food indoor play area and grabbing bites of food in between trips down the slide. Make at least one meal of the birthday child’s day something out of the ordinary! 6. Special treat. We like to hit the cupcake restaurant or grab huge, frosted cookies from a local baker and share with our friends and neighbors to spread the celebration around. A cheap - and just as special - route would be to make your child’s favorite dessert at home: cookies, cake, banana splits, shakes or ice cream sundaes are always a good bet. Depending on which fruit is in season (or go frozen!), a decadent fruit smoothie made with frozen yogurt could be nice. 7. Party (doesn’t have to be on the actual birthday). If you get a few gray hairs every time you think of planning a birthday party, don’t fret. Options include: a simple party at your place with just a few people, a bash at a park shelter or a celebration where a local children’s party place does all the work. 8. Birthday weekend sleepover with a few special friends (for kids over age seven). Warning: this one is not for the faint of heart! I suggest a maximum of three friends to stay the night at your house on a Friday night around the time of your child’s birthday. Order pizza to make life easy on yourself, grab some movies from the library and have them set up their sleeping bags as far away from your bedroom as possible.
