Tissue paper trees: use water colours for background scene, lay tissue paper on heavy paper to bleed & dry, cut trees from bled paper & paste on background, outline in sliver or gold Sharpie, add snow (hole punches, white out, pine needle stampers).

I know it's a kid's art activity: DIY watercolor silhouette. (Stickers on first then paint, dry, and remove stickers.) Still, such a good idea to remember.

Marker reflections.  Draw the top half with marker, spray with water, and fold and press to transfer the image. Try with trees?

Color top half with Crayola markers. Spray bottom half with water. Fold paper and press. Incorporate this with a lesson on transferring. Perhaps maybe tie in water reflections?
