Lamb's Ears and Chives

Old standbys: Lambs ears (Stachys byzantina) and chives (Allium schoenoprasum). Great combo and easy to propagate. Photo via Chiot's Run. Grow chives to deter against aphids, apple scab and mildew.

This pathway though narrow is a breathtaking stroll past a stone wall packed with English garden plants. The work this took is ambitious, but look at the glorious results. You can almost smell the fragrance as you wander on down the path.
