Unique World War II poster showing tomato cans becoming bullets for two American GI’s firing a machine gun while an enemy aircraft plummets to the ground overhead. Although it is not dated, the poster, by artist “McClelland Barclay USNR,” was most likely produced early in the war because of the “pancake”-style helmets worn. And the soldiers may be Marines, based on the type of rank chevron on the sleeve shown and the fact that a United States naval reservist did the artwork.
