Hexagonal tiles on the floor are a natural compliment to subway tile walls. We have hex tiles in our bathroom now, and they're very difficult to clean, but we've heard that this is due to the fact that our pre-war building has unglazed tiles which were common at the time. If hex tiles are glazed, it is supposed to make cleaning easier.
The Marble hexagon tiles are for the shower floor. The white subway tiles are for the shower itself, and will have an accent of that glass + marble tile that you see.
