My favorite quote ever. Pay it forward

  • Donna Beebe

You have never really lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you! These wonderful words touch my heart in a special way and inspire me to give and serve more. Upon reading the obituary in our local newspaper of a very dear friend, I discovered one of the most generous gifts I have ever received, one of which could never be repaid. I was listed as a special survivor to a very dear friend of mine. We were very close and an unlikely pair. He was an elderly widower and I, a young wife and mother of two. He was African-American and I, a Caucasian. He was a Democrat, and I, a Republican. We became friends when he was a patient of my husband's. He was a great blessing to me and I hope I was to him. We talked daily on the phone where I learned a lot about life and our Creator. I thought I knew about racism, but was sadly mistaken. I cooked for him every chance I could. While he would not come to dinner at our house, he did come over one day just to hear me play the piano. (Either my husband or I delivered the food to him.) I still miss him so much! He was a godly man who was very bright and witty. He taught me how to live and sadly, how to die. And he taught me what it truly means to be giving me a gift I can never repay. :)

Until you have done something for someone that is completely unselfish. Something that may be life changing. Something that money could never repay. You have not lived. #payitforward

Love. This is truth, I think. Living life is about people, not things.

if we don't change, we don't grow. if we don't grow, we aren't really living

its starts from you, so believe what I know... you are amazing! After all I know you best and I see what you may not, so until you see it too, let me give you the words of encouragement you need, the hand to hold, and the shoulder to lean on! I love you both!

be nice. it's always been my struggle telling my past...much of it contains not so nice stories or experiences but does contain the most wonderful and beautful triumph, a happy life lived with some heartbreak but surely no regrets!

There's never enough time. But time is so relative, therefore we must make the most of it. Because when it's time to say goodbye, our life begins once again and then, time is infinite. But it's the time we spend with certain people and things on this planet that make time seem short and never enough.

my life living, traveling and adventuring makes me so much better at what I do! :-)
