Religion: This is a catholic church in South Sudan. Most of the population in South Sudan is Catholic and Anglican. Some Muslims also live in urban areas of South Sudan. South Sudan has no official country religion.
Art: Each ethnic group has its own traditions of song and dance that plays an important part in their culture. Some Muslims sing verses of the quran, while other Muslims gyrate until they are in a trance. Muslims also sing a Madeeh, which is Muslim praise music sung to commemorate the prophet Muhammad. Not just Muslims sing and dance. The Beje is well known for performing sword dances, and Northern music, which is shown in the picture, has a lot of Arabic influence in it.
