This look features an all white and cream bed with feminine pleats and lace. There are a lot of weathered, natural elements like the wooden lamp and the distressed cream side table. Overall, it’s a neutral, classic look full of pretty details.
Toile de Jouy, sometimes abbreviated to simply "toile", is a type of decorating pattern consisting of a usually white or off-white background on which a repeated pattern depicting a fairly complex scene, generally of a pastoral theme such as (for example) a couple having a picnic by a lake. This African American designer used a toile depicting African Americans in a French aristocratic life. The ground color is contemporary in a bright yellow with the figures in black and white. So well done.
