  • Amanda Rollenhagen

Name: Edrie (5 months) Location: Portland, OR Though we now know Edrie is a girl, we didn't prior to her birth. We knew it was popular, but a grey and yellow color palate worked perfectly for a gender neutral nursery. We were on a tight budget and I love to craft, so many projects in the room were DIY.

I adore this room - love how it is described - "is a beautiful blend of mid-century modern with warm touches of handmade accessories, vintage toys, and textural crocheted pieces." so what I love.

Great up-close pictures of how they decorated each wall. Ideas: colored paper behind clear dresser panels for color pops, consider Sloane's "S" painted a different color, clothespin knick-knacks in bright colors as pictured

Throw in the ceramic fox by Jonathan Adler and you have yourself a complete, and very cute I might add, fox nursery!

Yellow and Gray would be a perfect neutral since we're probably not telling what our next one is :)

Modern Woodland--this is almost my perfect little boy's nursery; colors (pale blues, white & grays); owl theme; striped walls; would prefer wood floors with the rug pictured.

Love the gray and aqua. Now picture coral instead of green and I think this would be an awesome start to a a girls' room.

gender neutral, yellow grey.

I love several things about this picture: The coffee filter balls (poofs) hanging like a mobile and what looks like a re purposed white mirror with the words you are my sunshine and then the striking color choice/theme of the whole nursery. Brilliance!

The fabric balls are made with a 4 or 5 inch styrofoam ball. Take 3 yards of fabric per ball and cut it into as many 6 inch circles as possible. Fold the fabric into quarters and pin all over the ball. Easy, peasy!I Then take a styrofoam wreath form, cover with ribbon and then used ribbon to tie it all together as a mobile. Cheers!
