    tree stump planters- I thought about doing something like this, but without the work of having to cut out the opening. my thought is to wrap the top with flashing to make an instant container, or attach a nice plant pot to the top. If you make the planter a sub irrigating planter (SIP) it would be even better.

We have 5 white pines the utility company is scheduled to cut down. His parents planted them under the wires you see... and they are all tangled. I am planning on moving the raised bed garden to this area. Using the stumps as the edges of the bed, and the 'face' for trellis up rights. They could also be sentinels such as this.
