How amazing is it that, a couple hundred years ago, the person building this house framed the spectacular view for his family to enjoy? And, through photography we continue to appreciate it. Magnificent.

Sometimes I think we forget how powerful mass really is in architecture. It creates solidity, frames views and provides a psychologically reassuring heaviness.

Would be great to have a mural done on an external wall beyond a set of French doors to give the illusion of being somewhere like Paris.
