      Raising Chickens.. Exactly. If people are getting backyard chickens to save money on eggs, think again. It's a little more rewarding, to me at least, to know that the food I'm consuming (eggs only) have been raised humanely and healthfully. The bonus is that chickens are hilarious and interesting creatures and are great to have around as pets.

      Urban Chickens Infographic. Can't wait to have some chickens again :) I raised 6 chicks for eggs and due to a mix up at the feed store all 6 were roosters lol. The one was a huge white rooster that thought he was my dog :) would sit on my lap and make happy sounds. Critters are fun and fresh eggs can't be beat

    Baking soda neutralizes the ph in the soil and nothing will grow there. use baking soda around all of the edges of flower beds to keep the grass and weeds from growing into beds. Just sprinkle it onto the soil so that it covers it lightly. Do this twice a year - spring and fal
