MEMENTO MORI by Yun-Fei Tou. Taiwanese public animal shelter portraits. Photographic images allow us to contemplate. Through contemplation we gain an understanding of the uniqueness and nobility of life. Through contemplation we understand how chaotic and disordered the world has become.
The beautiful black and white portraits taken by photographer Traer Scott, depict the emotions and personalities of the shelter dogs she has spent time with while volunteering. The portraits have been compiled in a book entitled “Shelter Dogs,” with a percentage of proceeds donated to the ASPCA.
