perhaps the greatest children's book ever...and I think it's actually for adults

An empowering novel set in Jackson, MS. Yes it is about racism and there is definitely some stereotyping - HOWEVER the characters are accessible and the message is powerful.

The BFG :) I think I was in year 2 the first time I read this and instantly fell in love. Such a beautiful story!
