OMG, REALLY why am I finding all these ideas after I am done with my projects. I am in the process of being almost finished re-doing an ENTIRE bedroom set! I sanded, stained, sanded, polyurethaned, sanded and in the process of the last coat of polyurethane!! And now I find this! :P

Great kitchen makeover...can't believe this is the same room! New lighting, paint cabinets and add hardware, new wall color, new back splash, paint island cabinet black, change out white appliances for stainless, add trim on ceiling where box light used to be. This is much less expensive than a complete gut and redo.

Gel Stain kitchen cabinet before/after - black cabinets with white counter tops! I want a prettier backsplash though. :)

Get rid of that builder grade oak! Use GEL stain. Good to know for buying first house :)

I did this and the results were fabulous! I used high gloss paint on the cabinets. I also painted the old brass-colored hardware and the base of the light fixture with matte silver. It's amazing how well the spray paint holds to the knobs and hinges.
