Using galvanized screws - not nails - to screw a "L" bracket to the underneath base. Then on top, screw on the stake.

I have done this, but on my lights the stakes stick out the bottom. Without the stake, the lights don't fit in the 2x4; either they fall through or they are not stable.

North Pole made out of solar light from dollar store. Kids would love this for their room. I want to make the Christmas one, and a black one, so it looks like an old fashioned street light, with interchangeable signs. it could be used year round, spanish moss, and have little flowers, or clovers, or spiders/pumpkins… an every day decoration! The possibilities are endless, and I am in love.

Love this...you could put them anywhere outside! Even on kids playhouses/swings, etc.
