Candlesticks: Clean candlesticks with soap and water to remove dirt. Use metal spray paint and primer, following directions on cans. Let dry. Add another coat if you're not satisfied with the color or if there are spots that need touch-ups. Paint stripes, dots, or any other pattern using enamel craft paint and a brush. These were the old brass ones you can find at flea markets everywhere.
Etched Glass Vase Use a border punch to cut a design from adhesive shelf liner. Adhere the liner to the glass vase, smoothing out any air bubbles. spread a thick, generous layer of etching cream onto the vase, covering the design. Leave the cream on for the instructed time, and then rinse with water. Embellish with a paint pen if desired. Your newly etched vase is ready to flaunt flowers.
Spray-painted chandeliers-- get an ugly brass one from a thrift store & do this. I had a friend who did this, it actually turned out pretty neat looking. I actually have one in my room. It's hand painted not spray painted but I could see that being cool too.
