French dip in the crockpot. Instead of Au Jus seasoning, I used 1/2 cup soy sauce and two cloves minced garlic, and 1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce...and used enough beef broth to cover the meet. And I added a whole onion, sliced. It was YUMMY!!!!!! We used the juice as the Au Jus for dipping. (9/11/11)

CROCK POT BEEF DIP SANDWICHES: 3-4 lb Round Steak (or any type of beef roast), 1 packet Onion Soup Mix, 1 packet Au Jus Seasoning, 15 oz can Broth, 1/2 C water. Put roast in slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients, pour over beef. Cover, cook on low about 8 hrs. 1 hr before serving, shred or slice meat & return to cooker for 1 hr.

I love my slow cooker and this chicken chili is a delicious, low point, high fiber meal. It's so easy to make and it is great over rice, with multi-grain chips, topped with low fat cheddar cheese or low fat sour cream. This makes a lot and it is even better the next day for lunch! Love taste of home!!!!! Taco Salad. I didn't add olives because I don't like them, but substituted a can of corn & a can of black beans. I also used a full bag of cheese vs. a cup. To keep things from getting soggy, I kept the meat/bean mixture in one container, the lettuce/cheese in another, and the rest of the ingredients in 3rd container.

Spicy Thai Noodles. I used rice noodles as I am wont to do, and I used half the package only, replacing the other half with a bag of shredded cabbage and carrot (aka coleslaw mix, but just the vegs). I left in 2 tsp red pepper flakes with the oil and sauteed the veggies down before adding the noodles. Seemed like too much oil to me so I just used sesame oil 'till it felt right. Same with the soy sauce and honey, I added equal parts until it tasted good to me. It was easy peasy. 3.5 stars.
