So cute got all the stuff today going to make for my 5 year old to take to school on valentines day.
Making these for valentines day for my 2nd grader. We used slim Jim's for the arms. Just turn them upside down so the writing is underneath.
Cathy did you come up with this? Adorable!
@Julie Bresnick, The one I originally saw was all candy. This was my preschool snack version. ;)
Wow. Jessica is just plain rude. I love this idea! My daughter is only a year old, but I have twin nephews I'm going to try to make these for. thanks for the healthy idea!
Great idea, when my grandson is bigger, I will make these!!
Great for a robot bday party
What a cute idea! Love it! This could work for so many occasions... from snacks to parties etc. Creative and could be either healthy or a treat or combo. Good for you to be the kind of mom who takes joy in this kind of care and doesn't find it too 'tedious' . Yours are the kids that will clearly shine.
Cute idea for a healthy choice "bake sale"
My 4 yr old is looking at this post w/ me and asks "can I drink it?" I tell her it a robot snack pack, isn't that cute?...."yes mom but can I drink it?" i said yes honey, she says, "let's do it mom!" ... Looks like were doing it!
I love this idea!
This is super cute! I love it! If you can create a better one, do it and pin it! Otherwise, let's play nice ladies.
Super Cute Idea for making snack time fun! Love!
Very creative! Thank you for sharing. My daughter will do this for her kindergarten class:)
This grandma can do this for grandkids' trick or treat!
My sister made these for my nephew's class on his birthday...they loved them and they were soooo wicked easy!
Brilliant image. Where the heck did you get this?
@Mariya Golab; I took the photo after I made them for my son's preschool snack.
kids will love this for sure...
The arms would be really cute as natural fruit roll-ups too. In fact, that's what I thought they were at first. Really cute idea! What kid doesn't love robots?
This will be great for soccer game treats for the team!
Going to do this for my grand babies .
Gotta do these
Can't wait to make these on my next snack turn
Awesome! And relatively healthy, too.
So cute! My kids class will love them for an end of year school celebration!!! Thanks!
When you used the hot glue to secure the applesauce to the juice box, did they come apart easily without ripping the applesauce lid open? I'm making them for my sons class... so cute!!!
Making these tonight for a class birthday party for all the summer birthdays ... my daughter is celiac so she is sooooo excited that she is bringing in something fun that isn't cake! I'm thinking carrot slices for the arms ... unless I can think of something else or find straight gluten-free pretzels! :) Thanks for the idea!
awwwww ... great idea ... tootsie rolls are gluten free!! thanks sooooo much.
I love that there is no candy involved! :)
I'm wondering the same things as @Laura Wilks. Did the applesauce lids tear when they were being separated from the juice box? I'm making them this weekend for my son's class snack next week. Just curious on how that part is turning out for everyone.
Because the hot-glue hardens as it cools, they just *snap* off when separating.
Loved this. Used cool glue gun & cheese sticks for arms.
Love the idea..........plan on using it for my 5 yr. old's birthday celebration at school.
if you don't like the idea of pretzels, try carrots
My daughter and I are making these tomorrow for her birthday at preschool. We are so excited. She wants to add a bow to make it look more girly. I figured as long as she's helping she can do whatever she wants. Thank you for this fabulous idea! : )
Going to use these for our Vacation Bible School "Adventures in Space". We're going to call them space men!
I'm making these right now but wasn't sure how to attach the applesauce, was worried hot glue would tear the lid, but found my answer. Hot glue gun it is! I also used smarties for the arms (sorry Jessica) because I couldn't tell what the picture was! Super cute, my 3 year old is so so so excited to take these to school! Thanks for the awesome idea!
I am having the kids make this in my classroom for our space day to end our unit on Space. We are wrapping all the pieces with aluminum foil, except the head, and calling them astronauts.
I am going to make these for my son's 4th birthday this weekend, Theme is "Transformers" Can't wait to make them, have of them will be with candy, and the other half with applesausce, and raisins.
I was even going to try to use those twillers individual wraps for the arms, I will be playing with some other items, and let you ladies know how it turns out. thanks for the other info, it helps.
Love these as snacks
Preschool snack, raisins, juice box, pretzel stick and applesauce
