Legend of the Toborochi Tree When the world was still very new, the Aña, or spirits of the darkness, liked to abuse and murder humans. Then they found out that the beautiful daughter of cacique Ururuti, who had married the god Colibri (hummingbird), was pregnant and would give birth to a son who would punish them, so they decided to kill her.. more www.boliviabella....

What can I say? I love almost all trees, but especially unusual fat trees like this Toborochi Tree from Bolivia. I also love the Baobab trees of Madagascar. I may like to eat black walnuts, but I don't want the tree anywhere near my garden, with its killer juglone acid (most disliked by apple trees, tomatoes and white birch trees...all of which I like.)
The toborochi tree (Ceiba speciosa) looks pregnant! In Bolivia, legends say a beautiful goddess hid inside the tree to give birth so the forces of evil wouldn't find her and kill her and her baby. She comes out only in the form of the tree's beautiful pink flowers which attract her mate, the hummingbird god.

This quote is important to me because it explains the need for parents to take interest in there children, teachers and parents are supposed to be a team. Parents must teach their children first! If children are not read to at home or if their parents do not show an interest in their school life, the children are not going to be interested in learning at home or at school!!
A child educated only at school is an uneducated child. SO many parents need to read this!! #Children #Education #Spectrumlearn #quotes & #notes
This is so true, I don't believe teachers are the only ones to teach children, it's the parents job also, we are the biggest role models and kids look up to us. I believe education is very important. We all have jobs, we all feel tired but making an effort and getting involved is very important in a child's life. Make learning fun, so a child can enjoy it, don't be forceful so they wouldn't want to learn. I am told that I am teaching too many things but if our daughter likes it and wants to learn more then I will. I am proud of Ava and always will be:)

Wow. "endless flowers are from the Wisteria Tunnel at Kawachi Fuji Gardens, in Kitakyushu, Japan. The flowers look dense yet ethereal, hanging down in their neat rows of color; the other photos of flowering trees are presumably from different parts of the same garden. "
